I Look Like A Farmer Campaign
Originally published: March 05, 2016
Almost four years ago is when I sat up and began to notice how many women were entering agriculture in my own community, a majority of them as first generation farmers. I decided to document these women -- first with my camera phone and then later with a borrowed camera. Since then I have traveled across the US and Europe, writing and sharing portraits of female farmers (and now I own a camera!) and documenting a revolution in progress. If we're going to make a BIG shift in how people think, we all need to work together to make others sit up and notice. So here's my challenge to you.....
Take a picture of yourself, or have someone take one of you, post it your social media accounts on Tuesday, March 8th - International Women's Day.
Post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc and Hashtag to
#ILookLikeAFarmer
#FemaleFarmerProject
#IWD2016
Make sure your post is public so I can find you and I will re-post, re-gram, re-tweet.
Lets show the world what a farmer looks like.
Because you are one.
Update: Here's the storify of as many of you that I could feature!

Is there somewhere you have reposted all of the photos? I can only seem to find a few on facebook.
Thanks,
Rebecca

I posted on my facebook today and enjoyed watching the thread turn into one of my most followed and commented upon posts. Thanks for doing what you do (International Women's Day/The Female Farmer Project).
