Farm Enterprise: Farm-to-Table Restaurants
Farm-to-Table Restaurants - it seems like a natural extension. But is it just one step further to create a self-sustaining supply chain? Host Kate Doughty talks with two farmers who opened their own restaurants and discovers not only their motivations but also the challenges in being both farmer and restauranteur.
First up is Erin Wade of the successful 'salad bistro' restaurant chain that is an extension of her farm in New Mexico, and to Cindy Krepke of Dog Mountain Farm in Washington State who shares the challenges she experienced with her now closed café and farm.
