photo essay: growing things in winter
This short series of vignettes documents a season with Growing Things Farm and Michaele - a revered farmer in the Snoqualmie Valley. She has mentored and inspired countless farmers along the way. This vignette is winter - the fields are brown and muddy. Michaele tends to the new flock of layers and her small pastured pork operation. Join us as we document the farm as it progresses from late winter to harvest season.

I love this lady's farm and her heart for farming.
The story gave me a lump in my throat.

Thank you. Great to see Michaele featured. I always appreciated her produce and eggs when I used to shop at U District Market. Also fantastic photos. Helen
